“We want you to come with us, have a good time with us, come sing and dance ‘neath the stars.” -Michelle Malone and Band de Soleil, "The Gathering"
We are Emory's only all-female a cappella group! Founded in 1996, The Gathering is named after a song by Michelle Malone and Band de Soleil called “The Gathering”. Though the group has never actually performed the song from which we get our name, even after 15 years the lyrics still embody the group’s central desire. Over the years, the name “The Gathering” has evolved in meaning with each successive group of girls. However, our love for music and entertaining audiences at Emory and beyond has stayed steadfast throughout the years.

At any given time, our repertoire might include songs from an eclectic a mix of artists such as Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, K’naan, Michael Jackson, The Script, Young Money, Destiny’s Child, Taylor Swift, Dixie Chicks, B.O.B., Yellowcard, Jay-Z, Adele, Carrie Underwood, and Billy Joel.
